TRANSPLANT BLACK on WHITE
When depicted 600 years ago such act (if successful - we are told so) represented a miracle. Truly, transplanting a leg from one individual to another can not be successful except if you believe in miracles. More important is the thought that it is possible - it took 600 years to make it possible as medical science learned about HISTOCOMPATIBILITY. The major histocompatibility gene complex (MHC) is the HLA (human leucocyte antigens system), a subject beyond the scope of this presentation.
