TERATOLOGY - DYSMORPHOLOGY

SELF-PACED COURSE

SELF-PACED LEARNING and PRACTICUMS
TERATOLOGY – DYSMORPHOLOGY
Emphasis on Signs and Signals

NOTE: Emphasis is on recognition and not on etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, therapies and prevention. SOURCES are from companion websites, mostly from Clinical Eye Openers (CEO) and Pandora Word Box, concerning images of signs, and medical terminology respectively. To facilitate recognition and memorization, a blend of images and terminology is presented by Carousels and other types of Short Presentations.

Teratology, Medical Teratology, Clinical Genetics and their linkages with DYSMORPHOLOGY are extensive and rapidly expanding and evolving with the advances in Molecular Biology, Epidemiology, and other sciences. Consequently, the novelty and rapid evolution of these disciplines, in a manner of speaking, are associated with EVOLVING DEFINITIONS and TERMINOLOGY.

Our aim is to emphasise VISUAL illustrations in the domain of Dysmorphology. However, a perspective we call "CLINICAL EYE OPENERS" must include functional as well as structural alterations.

Descriptive perspectives of signals indicative of teratogenic impacts contributory to notions of syndromes, diagnoses, pathogenesis, etiology, and prognosis.

DYSMORPHOLOGY GALLERIES - SIGNS – SIGNALS (B1)
Topographic salient illustration of visual alterations of morphogenesis conducive to the synthesis into syndromes, diagnoses, notions of etiology and pathogenesis.

MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY (TERATOLOGY – DYSMORPHOLOGY)
Short definitions – expanded perspectives are in Pandora Word Box

CARDINAL CLINICAL PROTOTYPES (C1)
Clinical entities, presented in variety modes (master-classes, videos, carousels, galleries …)
